The 2012 UEFA Champions League Final will be a football match played on 19 May 2012 at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany to decide the winner of the 2011–12 season of the UEFA Champions League, Europe's premier club tournament organised annually by the UEFA confederation. The winners receive the European Champion Clubs' Cup (the European Cup). The game is the culmination of the 57th season of the tournament, and the 20th since it was renamed the Champions League.

The match will kick off at 20:45 local time (18:45 UTC) – and will be contested by English club Chelsea and Bayern Munich of Germany. It's their first meeting in a Champions League Final. Bayern entered the competition as four time winners from eight final appearances, most recently losing in 2010, while Chelsea had reached the final just once before, losing in 2008. To reach the final, in the knockout phase Bayern defeated Basel, Marseille and lastly Real Madrid, while Chelsea overcame Napoli, Benfica and the defending champions Barcelona. Both teams reached the final having already lost out in their domestic leagues (the Bundesliga and Premier League respectively), but having also reached the final of their domestic cup competitions (the DFB-Pokal and FA Cup respectively), to be played prior to the Champions League Final.

Having opened in 2005, it is the first Champions League Final to be held in the Allianz Arena (which for the purposes of the tournament is known as "Fußball Arena München"). With Bayern being one of the two teams that play their home fixtures in the stadium, the game will be the first time in the Champions League era when a finalist also has home advantage.

The winner of the final will play against the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League winners in the 2012 UEFA Super Cup, and also enter the semi-finals of the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup as the UEFA representative.
